A few observations:

  • My husband is a sucker for magicians.
  • Street festivals attract a lot of people with kids. And, oddly, a lot of them smoke and talk on their cell phones while pushing their children in strollers.
  • It takes willpower to resist fried dough.
  • Conal tends to zone out in crowds:

We went to the River Street Festival today. First, we stopped at the Farmers Market and bought some sweet strawberries and a half pound of mesclun mix. And we checked out the rooster.

Then we fested.

Once we were sufficiently exhausted from the heat and the festing, we took a stroll along the river. (Note Conal’s sweaty hair — it was sticky hot.)

Festing and strolling behind us, we headed home for naps. All around. Not much better than that.
